There you’ll find everything from registering in the app to linking your ReFoundMe codes.
First, check your internet connection. Without a connection, we can’t link the item to your account.
Next, check if the code is already linked to another item. You can do this by scanning the code using the Scanfeature:

If you see the finder’s menu, the code is already in use.

If you see the message “No item found for scanned QR code”, the code is still free to link to an item.
If it still doesn’t work, try restarting the app or registering the item again.

Yes, you can! If you want to give away or sell an item with a fixed ReFoundMe code, the new owner can easily link that code to their own account.
- First, remove the item from your Item list— this frees up the code
- The new owner can then create and personalize a new item with their own photo and text.
- At "Add QR code to Item" click 'I already have a QR code' and scan the code.
The item will then be linked directly to the new owner’s account.
When someone finds your item and scans the code, they see a webpage with instructions on how to return the item.
No personal data is shared.

The Scan feature works like your phone’s camera but automatically checks if the scanned QR code is a valid ReFoundMe code .
This protects you from fraudulent QR codes and ensures safety.
If the code is a genuine ReFoundMe code, you are immediately redirected to the Finder’s page in your web browser.
At ReFoundMe, your privacy is very important to us. All data you enter is securely processed according to our Privacy Policy.

ReFoundMe uses an authorization code linked to your phone number or email address.
If you are accidentally logged out, you can have this code resent via SMS or e-mail.
Once you log back in, all your items will be immediately visible in the app.
Your app may be in deep sleep mode or may not have permission in your device settings to send push notifications.
You can fix this by adjusting your device settings and granting ReFoundMe the necessary permissions.
To ensure you always get notified when an item is found,
enable both App notifications and SMS alerts per item.
This way, you’ll never miss a message from a finder.
The location shared when a finder scans an item is an approximate location, not an exact GPS coordinate.
This is intentional for privacy and legal reasons— the finder’s exact location remains protected, while the owner still gets enough information to recover the item.
First, check if it’s a genuine ReFoundMe QR code by using the Scan feature in the app.
Open the Finder’s page in your browser.
If you can’t call or message the owner, choose “drop off at a Hub” and leave the item there.
If the Finder’s page doesn’t open, you can still find a nearby Hub via our website..
You can return your order within 30 days of receipt, rovided the product is unused, complete, and in its original packaging.
Register your return via the return request form, and we’ll help you with the return instructions.
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will refund the purchase amount as soon as possible.
Please note: personalized products cannot be returned.

You can delete your account and all saved data, such as items, photos, and settings, via the Delete Account page.
Please note what happens when you delete your account:

All linked items are permanently deleted.

ReFoundMe QR codes you used will no longer work.

Any personal settings and preferences will be removed.
If you want to proceed, go to ‘Delete Account’ and follow the steps.
